Due to the uncertainty created by growing interstate numbers of positive cases with the Delta variant, and the possibility of further lockdowns and other restrictions in Queensland, it appears increasingly unlikely that it will be safe for BUMS Inc to run SPRUKE on 18 September 2021. Brisbane’s largest band of ukulele buskers captivated the South Bank crowds at the world record busk attempt this Valentine’s Day. The BUMS ukulele buskers were the largest contingent amongst the 387 performers who beat the previous Guinness Largest Busk World Record of 230 buskers.
