SPRUKE is Brisbane’s Ukulele Festival.

Where is SPRUKE?
The SPRUKE Festival site is at TAFE Queensland Brisbane’s South Bank Campus,
66 Ernest St South Brisbane QLD 4101.
When is SPRUKE 2017?
The weekend of Friday 29 September— Sunday 1 October. Spring!
SPRUKE will start with an evening concert on Friday 29 September.
There’s workshops and concert all day Saturday and Sunday, and
all the excitement of the Morris Brothers festival finale on Sunday 1 October.

How do I get to SPRUKE?
Well depends where you start from! TAFE South Bank is close to public transport and parking.

Where can I stay?
There are many options for accommodation close to the festival site at South Bank
or in Brisbane CBD with public transport directly to the South Bank precinct.

Can I perform at SPRUKE?
The main acts for the program will be confirmed very soon.
The ‘expression of interest’ to perform at SPRUKE 2017 will be available after that is announced.

Do I need a Ukulele to be a part of SPRUKE?
If you have one bring it. There will be ukulele retailers and manufacturers here in the market if you want to buy a uke or accessories or check out the range at one of our sponsors stores.

If you can’t play you can still enjoy the concerts, open mic space jams and daily performances.
I’ve not played for long should I come?
YES! SPRUKE 2017 will have workshops for every level of ability from newbies to accomplished musicians. Designed particularly for new players is the Beginners Ukulele Oasis where you can learn a song every half an hour. Come early and join the Ukulele Boot Camp — it’ll warm you up for the day with exercises and drills to help improve your technique. As well as workshops there will be jams, an open mic space and concerts to inspire you.
