SPRUKE ON THE SQUARE

No Comments Regular Posts

Brisbane’s iconic King George Square will be filled with the happy sounds of ukulele this June for SPRUKE- Brisbane’s Ukulele Festival. SPRUKE on the Square is a FREE event for all ukulele enthusiasts of any age and the uke curious!

SATURDAY 11 JUNE 2022

9:00 AM to 9:00 PM

Join BUMS Brisbane Ukulele Musicians Society Inc for a day and night filled with fun activities and performances. Two stages will feature performances all day, showcasing ukulele groups and artists from all around south east Queensland.

Get involved and play by joining one of the themed mini jams or, if you are new to the ukulele, a beginners session. Get up and strut your stuff at the open mic.

This big day of ukulele fun culminates with ‘Ukes Under The Stars’ a huge jam and concert to strum, sing and dance the night away. A giant LED screen will display the songs so every one can play along together.
You don’t even need to own a uke when you get here, just head to the music market with everything for sale a ukulele player could want from instruments, latest gear and accessories.
