Spruke – Finished but not forgotten . . .

2 Comments SPRUKE Festival News

As they say in the trade – “That’s a wrap” – and indeed Spruke 2013 is over, and by all accounts it has been a success.  We’ve had some positive feed back but more is better – so if you did attend and we have not contacted you with a survey invitation  and you’d like to have your say – please click here to leave your feedback.  This survey will be open until October 20, 2013, but if you miss that – you can always send us an email at  festival@spruke.net.au with your feedback.

I’d personally like to thank the Festival committee for their hard work and support in getting this festival together, as well as BUMS members and volunteers for their work in presenting the festival to the public.  Thanks also to the South Brisbane Institute of  Technology for their premises and students for participation in the technical aspects of the festival.  Many thanks to our partners and sponsors who helped us bring the festival to you, as well as our out of town performers who supported us.

Spruke will go into hibernation until 2015, but don’t despair !  Our sister club in Newcastle will be hosting a festival in 2014 in the Sept-October space, so stay tuned to the BUMS website for that.

Stay tuned to this site for some videos and photo highlights as they come to hand. (Top Menu)

And of course the 120 volunteers from BUMS and beyond who willingly gave up their time to make the event the success it has been.
Stay tuned for some other Spruke related mini events in 2014.

    1. Stu -sadly we did not capture very much video from the festival. Really only what some of the visitors captured. This is something we need to invest more heavily in next time. We have considerable still photography. Regards . . John H
