Concerts
This year we’re excited to present four main concerts.
The festival starts on Friday the Thirteenth with the Sprooky Cabaret presented by Cordoba. You’ll be spellbound by The Loveys, Mama Juju and the Jam Tarts, The Thin White Ukes and Ukulele Death Squad.
Saturday afternoon’s Schools Concert culminates in a special performance piece written, “4-String Family”, for SPRUKE 2019 by Nathan Cahill.
Saturday night’s Spruketacular is presented by Lanikai. We’re bringing together some of today’s best home-grown and international ukulele artists — special guest Cynthia Lin, followed by Gypsy Rumble, and wrapping up with the world’s most dangerous ukulele group, Ukulele Death Squad.
Sunday SPRUKE 2019 wraps up with the Morris Brothers Festival Finale where we all come together. We’ll see our BUMS community bands, our Sprukestar finalists, and the Parody Video Contest winner perform. And you could take home a prize in the Mega Raffle — anything can happen!
Workshops
There are workshops for players at all ability levels. Be inspired by Ukulele Death Squad and The Thin White Ukes. Work on your stagecraft, stumming and riffing with our experienced presenters.
Descriptions of the ticketed workshops and concerts and links to ticket sales can be found on the Events page. All ticketing will be via the SunPAC Box Office (http://www.sunpac.net.au/whatson). Tickets are currently available online, but will also be available from the SunPAC Box Office during the festival.
There’s only days to go … hope to see you all there!
