There are many ways you can enhance your SPRUKE Festival experience, one of them is to participate!
We invite all Sprukesters to become involved and consider volunteering in some way during the festival. Our SPRUKE crew with their energy and enthusiasm are the most valuable asset that we have—we couldn’t do it without them!
Volunteering is a sure way to make friends and experience parts of SPRUKE the rest of other festival goers miss out on. However, there are many ways to participate:
Perform
Present a workshop
Billet a Sprukester
Have a stall in our Market
Volunteer and join the SPRUKE Crew
The applications are now open…so what are you waiting for?
The Festival Committee have been very excited by how many acts have shown interest in performing at SPRUKE 2017. We are so lucky to have so many talented and enthusiastic players keen to step up to the mic. We want to hear from solo acts, duos, bands, ukulele clubs, and schools.
The cutoff date for performer and workshop presenter applications is 31 May 2015. The SPRUKE Festival Committee will advise you shortly after as to whether you have been successful with your application to perform or conduct a workshop.
This year SPRUKE coincides with the last weekend of Brisbane Festival. So fabulous to be able to share the spectacle of River Fire and the buzz around South Bank with our visitors. Accommodation will be at a premium however, and we are looking for more hospitable folk to billet a visiting act or festival goer from out of town.
Our Festival Market has gotten bigger and better each year, and we are on the look out for more vendors with something a bit special and unique to tempt our festival goers. What do the families of uke enthusiasts do at a festival …they check out the markets and chill out with tasty food and drinks!
The countdown is on so get your applications in now.
