Ukulele Russ, from Alaska, is one of the international headline acts for SPRUKE Festival 2017.
Palm muting and using your thumb to rock a string instrument is NOT just for guitars! In this clinic Russ will discuss his style of using the thumb and palm to create different sounds not familiar to the ukulele.
Recreate that muted tone not often heard on uke to bring out the lower register of sounds from your instrument. From picking styles to straight thumb rocking there is no reason playing ukulele has to sound bright and happy.
Bring on the mute and add some extra skills you might not know to your strumming & picking hand .
