3-Session Workshop – Arranging & Performing Instrumentals
40 Participants
Learn how to play a part in an instrumental ensemble. In this three-session workshop, run by Brisbane Uketet, you learn a part suitable to your level of experience, practise your part in small groups, and perform it in a full ukulele ensemble.
In the first session, participants will be sorted into different groups according to their abilities, and allocated a part of music that best suits them. The whole group will play all the parts, and then split up to practise their allocated parts in smaller groups.
Between sessions, participants will meet to practise their allocated parts.
In the second session, the groups come together to rehearse as a full instrumental ensemble.
Then, for the third session, we head to the stage to showcase our incredible instrumental ensemble talent.
Brisbane Uketet brings the combined experience of two music teachers and three participants in the James Hill “Ukulele in the Classroom” program to this exciting workshop series.
