Absolute Beginner – Ukulele Foundations

Primary school teacher and performing musician, Miss Jodie, combines her musicianship, teaching skills, knowledge, and love of the ukulele, to bring you a beginners session in ukulele playing.
Jodie’s primary belief is that “EVERYONE CAN PLAY MUSIC” and that the ukulele is the perfect place to start! Like anything the best approach is to lay some foundations and build it up from there. You’ll start at the very beginning moving at a pace to suit all. Jodie will encourage members of the group to assist each other, as confidence grows, with sharing skills.
Jodie aims for immediate gratification, and so we will start ‘jammin’, as soon as we all have the first chord position. The repertoire used is family friendly, and Jodie wants everyone to have fun and to be inspired to keep playing.
