Find Your Voice at BUMS Vocal Harmony Day

Do you love to sing as you play?
Can you harmonise with your fellow uke players?
Do you know which styles of music suit your voice?
Or, would you just like a few new tips to boost your volume or confidence?

Dani Jones, Sunshine Coast Harmony Teacher/Musical Director, takes pleasure in offering three workshops to enhance your singing, teach new skills and create beautiful music.

Arrive at 9:45 am for a 10:00 am start.

10:00 am–11:00 am — Workshop 1

Find out about vocal technique, posture, breathing, vocal range and extension. We’ll begin to look at how harmony is structured, and practise your new knowledge using a range of techniques.

11:30 am–12:30 pm — Workshop 2

Sing in four-part harmonies. This is where the fun starts. You’ll be surprised at how quickly you’ll be singing in four parts — brand new songs that you’ve never heard — possibly, not even in English! Prepare to be amazed, and rather chuffed with yourselves!

I:00 pm–2:00 pm — Workshop 3

Workshop your own songs. Spice up a song from your repertoire with new vocal layers. Within your group, choose a song, and send it to me (via

se*******@br*************.com











). I’ll work on your songs so that I can guide you through the process of arranging harmony. Simpler songs will be more effective.

Meal breaks: There will be 30-minute breaks between workshops.
Bring your lunch and morning tea, or it’s a short drive to Stafford or Stafford City to buy a snack.
