The Ukeybeats rocked the stage at SPRUKE in 2019

Ukeybeats

The Ukeybeats are an Easybeats Tribute band with a twist. All played on ukes! The Easybeats were ground zero for Australian rock & roll with a huge catalogue of amazing songs to choose from. For the past three years the Ukeybeats have been delving into the Easybeats collection and have put together a set list of toe-tapping rock & roll classics, most of which are instantly recognisable, being part of Aussie rock DNA. There are also some hidden gems amongst their huge hits which may surprise you. You’ll find it hard to stay in your seat!
There will be some songs projected on the big screen so you can play along, after all, why should we have all the fun!

In 2018 Darrell Reeve and Steve Sandilands were driving to the Newcastle uke festival listening to the Easybeats Anthology and right there the Ukeybeats came to be. With Carol Dudley on bass and Mark Ambrossoli on drums they played their first gig at SPRUKE 2019. Mark has since moved on and now Nathan Roff is providing the groove on the cajon.
