The Sublime Ukelectics

The Sublime Ukelectics is a relatively new BUMS community band that started up at the beginning of the 2021, a Southside Ukulele Band Living In Musical Ecstasy!

Run by Becky Lochel, the group of 15-20 musicians meets on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month from 2-4pm at Corinda State School.

As our name suggests, we play an eclectic mix of songs from country to pop and spanning the decades from the 50’s to now, as you will hear in our set. Our arrangements for ukulele and voice combine various strumming techniques as well as melody and harmony singing parts. We like to throw in some harmonica, and percussion for some colour every now and then too.

After all the challenges, uncertainty and isolation of the last few years, we are look forward to performing for you in real life!
