It is with much regret that Strumalong has been postponed due to the impact of COVID on our community. This workshop will be rescheduled for the next few months. All ticket bookers have been emailed 9 June 2022. You may choose to keep your ticket until the new date is announced or request a refund at any time. David Megarrity and Samuel Vincent (Tyrone and Lesley)

David and Samuel offer a workshop in which we learn a new song, ‘Strumalong’ and perform it later. If you want to. Then you can say you were a headliner for a ukulele festival!

The workshop, open to players of all skill levels, offers learning around half-chords, simple strumming and basic choral singing.

Once you register for the workshop you’ll have access to a package on online materials (chord chart, friendly instructional video) which will give you head start…if you want.

Within the session we’ll cover key and incidental skills in playing and singing with uke in groups. Your participation in the performance is optional, low-stress and we’ll talk more about it on the day.

ABOUT David Megarrity and Samuel Vincent (Tyrone and Lesley)

Tyrone & Lesley are Australia’s best ukulele and double bass duo, pairing high and low in a binary orbit in the sparkling song space around the uke. Their battery powered torch songs and even odder numbers make them headliners with subtext.
